Plus, who doesn’t remember singing the little rhyme about two lovers sitting in the tree?  I remember jumping rope to it many times.

How to Add a USB Port to a Wall Outlet

Ever wished you could plug your USB cable directly into your electrical outlet?  It can be done easier than you think.  It only requires two supplies:   a USB wall outlet and a new wallplate.

How to:

1.  Turn off the breaker to the outlet.  Confirm the electricity is off by plugging something into this outlet.

2.  Unscrew the existing wallplate and remove.

3.  Unscrew the electrical outlet and pull the outlet out of the wall with the wires still connected.  It may help to take pictures so you can reconnect the wires correctly.

4.  Disconnect each wire from the old outlet and connect to the same location in the new outlet.  This will insure that your wiring will be the same.

5.  Carefully push outlet and wires back into junction box and screw into place.

6.  Attach wallplate.

7.  Turn breaker back on.

Kate Spade Inspired Valentine Decor

I recently purchased these paper mache X and O’s from Amazon without a clear craft idea in mind; however, I knew I wanted to put them on a shelf in the living room.

Angela at blue i style has found a way to transform these plain brown letters into Kate Spade inspired letters of love.  If you don’t like the neutral colors, liven them up with pinks and reds for a more romantic feel. Personally, I am going with neutrals so I can use them year round.

Christmas Letters Or Sign

I thought this Joy Pallet Sign was a creative way to use leftover wrapping paper; however, for a more modern look the  letters could be placed on the wall.  You could also paint the wood or use a different type of wood and stain it.  If your letters were not too large, and you wanted to hang this in the kitchen, you could mount them on a colored cutting board.  Head over to Hometalk for the instructions.

Christmas Plaque

I really get into Christmas decorations.  I put up five full size Christmas trees and multiple small size trees.  Since it is October, I decided to go ahead and put up my angel tree upstairs and place it in a space bedroom until closer to Christmas.  One tree decorated, four to go!   Since I was one a roll, I searched Pinterest for other inspirations and saw this Jingle all the Way plaque.  Kerri Bradford’s instructions make this project look super easy I can’t wait to make mine.
